Swarm athletes are the hardest working, most prepared athletes on the field and the following list of instructors will help take your game to the next level. Many of our coaches are available for private instruction and will always take Swarm players first.

David Huff
Pitching/General Instruction
Born in Huntington Beach and starring at UCLA, Coach Huff was the 39th player overall taken in the 2006 major league draft. This talented lefty went on to play eight season in the bigs for the Indians, Yankees, Giants, Dodgers, and Angels..

Marcus Jensen
Catching Instruction
Currently the Oaland A’s Bullpen Coach, 6 years in the MLB, Gold medalist in 2000 Sydney Olympics.
Coach Jensen runs the Swarm catching clinics in the off-season.
Liu Rodriguez
Infield/General Instruction
Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Liu played for the Chicago White Sox and is currently a minor legue coach for the Milwaukee Brewers.

Spenser Watkins
Pitching Instruction
Drafted by the Detroit Tigers in 2014, this Horizon High School graduate is currently pitching in the Washington Nationals organization.

Batting Instruction
8 seasons in the Majors for the A’s, Royals, Diamondbacks, Tigers, and Indians. Also played one season in Japan and is currently coaching the 2019 USA Baseball team.

Pitching/General Instruction
A two-way wizard out of Burlingame High School, Vince went on to star at the Pacific University and spent 5 years in the minors for the Red Sox & White Sox organizations.

Mitchell Allen
General Instruction
Local star from Boulder Creek HS, Coach Mitch played at New Mexico State and was named WAC All-Conference in 2019.

Batting/General Instruction
Graduate of North Canyon HS, Logan played at Paradise Valley CC and New Mexico State where he helped send the Aggies to a NCAA regional in 2018.

Tom is currently the hitting coach for the AA Hartford Yard Goats of the Colorado Rockies organization. He has been a hitting instructor with the Rockies for six years.

Matt Hall
Batting/General Instruction
4-year starter at Horizon H.S, Matt was drafted by the Angels in the 8th round of the 2005 MLB draft. Matt declined and on to play at Arizona State, Auburn, and eventually the Tampa Bay Rays organization for four years.

Hitting/General Instruction
Born in Scottsdale and a graduate of Desert Mountain, Jack played at Yavapai CC, University of New Mexico, and Chico State until injuries derailed his career.

General Instruction
Catcher at University of Arizona with a College World Series appearance in 1985, 32 years at Horizon High School with 30 state tournaments and 6 state championships, countless college and pro players placed.

John Casale
Program Founder
John started Swarm Baseball in 2013 with eleven eager and talented young players. Ten years later, Swarm and Swarm Red Elite National proudly has over three hundred active families with players age 7 to 18 and has become one of the fastest growing and most respected club baseball programs in the West and across the nation.
